MMU - Music Mix Up #1

Alright, I'm completely stealing this idea from Silly Pipe Dreams' iPod Roulette.  But hey, it's a fun and potentially embarrassing concept.  In case you're wondering where the Top5 for October are, I decided to not post it because it would've been an exclusive Santogold party, and while that's awesome, it's just not as much fun as getting a mix of music.  So, here are the first 10 tracks that played on random in my Windows Media Player.

1. "Beautiful" by Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrell. >/+
   • Ah, what a nice way to start off.  I really like this song, which is a good thing, because I have it.  That's not the case with all of my songs though as we may soon see.
2. "Make Right With You" by Luke Temple. >/+
   • This one I downloaded back when I was doing Grey's Anatomy Radio and I still find it enjoyable, but it appears I haven't played it since I built my new computer back in January.  That's a slight time gap.
3. "Make Me Wanna" by Usher. >/+
   • Now this song is definitely one of my favorites and it makes me miss the old Usher.  This new one just doesn't do the same thing for me.
4. "Put It On Me" by Ja Rule ft. Lil Mo. >/+
   • I guess we're going heavy on the hip-hop so far.  I don't love rap, but I do love a lot of individual rap songs (the same could be said for nearly any genre actually).  Speaking of Ja Rule, where the heck has he been recently?
5. "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World. >/+
   • This song takes me back to high school.  I also remember the video quite well, and who wouldn't?
6. "Talk About The Passion" by REM. >/+
   • Finally, a more credible indie song again.  Okay, so I suppose REM really isn't all that indie, but this is a good song.
7. "Believer" by Susanna And The Magical Orchestra. >/+
   • Here's another rather depressing Grey's Anatomy song.  This really isn't a song I listen to other than in these circumstances.  Honestly.
8. "It Don't Matter To The Sun" by Rosie Thomas. >/+
   • We're on a role with Grey's Anatomy here, but I do really like this song.  If it were raining on a Sunday afternoon and the ceiling was leaking on my head, this is the song that would be playing.
9. "You're The One" by Guerilla Black ft. Mario Winans. >/+
   • You know, I really do have many more genres of music in my library.  You're only getting two of them here.  It's okay though, I think this song came from my attempts at running an online top 40 radio station.  I do like it though.
10. "I Turn My Camera On" by Rock Kills Kid. >/+
    • Finally we're back to a favorite.  In addition to being a cool song, it's an even better cover of the original.  This one came from The OC's final season and from the Covering Our Tracks soundtrack, which happened to contain a whole lot of other great covers.

That's it!  Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on your tastes, that was rather boring for the rather extensive taste of music I have.  But don't worry I'll be doing this again.  Try the game yourself and leave your list in the comments.

PS. The 11th track happened to be from The Rippingtons, one of my all time favorite bands, and who I've seen in concert.
