BotW - "Be Somebody" by Kings Of Leon
This week had some not bad music, but nothing outstanding. In fact, I had a tough time even naming a Best of the Week track. On the other hand there were several TVSM Picks this time around.
Also, seeing how absolutely NO ONE took advantage of a free $5 Amazon certificate last week we're going to give it another shot this week. Seriously, no one? All you have to do is post 5 tracks that you liked the most from the past week and your email (which is not posted publicly, in case you're wondering) and you'd have a shot. And, if we get the same response as last week, I'd say your chances of being handed $5 is pretty good, if you only enter.

- So, I had never heard of this band until they were on this week's episode, and I rather like them. I think you will too.

- Between the three songs of theirs that aired on the episode, I think this is my favorite.
- "Echo" by Cyndi Lauper. Blair's birthday party. >/+ | Download
- Who could go wrong with some Cyndi Lauper? She's apparently still making music and that makes me oddly happy.
Grey's Anatomy
- "Falling For You" by Seabird. Mr. Miller crashes; Izzie gives Clay his old extra heart; Callie breaks down. >/+ | Download
- Awesome song! It is quite possibly my favorite of the week and it was used pretty well in the show to go along with that.
- "Troube Is A Friend" by Lenka. Alex offers Izzie his help; Derek asks Meredith about her past with Sadie; Owen & Cristina kiss; montage. >/+ | Download
- Another great track here. Grey's Anatomy really feels more "happy" these days and it also shows in their music selection. Less of the depressing solo singers and more of the upbeat fun music.
The Hills
- "Live Your Life" by T.I. ft Rihanna. Whitney & Lauren meet Adam & Alex at the Buckley fitting. >/+ | Download
- I know not everyone is going to like this one, but I do. I wish I knew what song they took the yodel part from, because it sounds awful familiar to me.
- "Boys" by Ashlee Simpson. Lauren & Whitney prepare for the Buckler show. >/+ | Download
- I'm sorry, I have no idea why I'm listing this song. No, I do, I love it. I really enjoyed the performance, also the first time I heard it, on Dancing With The Stars last season. Thus, I had to download it, even though it was still Ashlee "Saturday Night Live" Simpson.

- I like this Rihanna song too. Not a lot, but I'm sure it'll grow on me over time.

- A little bit of Groundhog's Day here. Since we heard it on Grey's Anatomy last week, I still like it, nothing's changed there.
- "Don't Fight It" by The Panics. Connor cancels dinner with Molly to work with Wilhemina; montage. >/+ | Download
- I really like the trumpet part of this song. It's kind of blues-y and chill, just the way I like it.
Best Of The Week
Gossip Girl
- "Be Somebody" by Kings Of Leon. Agnes burns Jenny's dresses. >/+ | Download
- Poor Jenny. She's had it pretty rough since she joined up with Agnes. Didn't she ever watch The OC and see this coming? Oh well, now Little J's screwed and this song fit the scene pretty darn well. It's the best use of the week.
Video Of The Week
If this video doesn't make you fall for Seabird, then I don't know what will. Oddly enough, I was actually on the Belle of Cincinnati this summer a week after this video was posted. I must have missed them by a couple of weeks darn it. Weird.
