Top5 - My Favs For September 2008

I've heard a lot of great new music this past month.  And, perhaps best of all, no one will be hearing me rave about Paramore for the near future.  This time we cross all over the genre map, so without further adieu, here's the newest Top5:

Play All

  1. "Pony (It's Ok)" by Erin McCarley (>/+).  I heard this one on the Privileged premiere and mentioned it then.  I've been playing this song nearly non-stop and can't help but be in love with her beautiful voice.  14 plays on Windows Media Player since downloading it on September 13th.
  2. "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga (>/+).  This is one of the best dance tracks I've heard in quite some time.  I can't get enough of it and it's got such a driving beat.  12 plays since September 6th.
  3. "Right Here (human nature remix)" by SWV (>/+).  And now for something different.  I heard this one on our local radio station's 90s at Noon program and, even though I grew up in the 90s, there are still many songs I don't know specifically.  Now that I know who does this song, I've been playing it like crazy.  11 plays since September 4th.
  4. "Merry Happy" by Kate Nash (>/+).  Another track that came from the Privileged premiere, this song is so cool.  The lyrics are funny, it's got a great beat and I love her voice.  It's so happy and gooey.  9 plays since September 13th.
  5. "So What" by Pink (>/+).  The last track came down to two.  The other choice was "Intelligentactile 101" by Jesca Hoop (>/+) which, don't get me wrong, is a great tune in its own right.  But I think it just came down needing a great rock song to finish off the list.  Not to mention, I already listed two other tracks from the same episode of Privileged, why add another?

Also, the next mid-week post will feature a brand new free download and, hopefully, an interview or something to go along with it.  I'm excited about this new artist and I'm positive you will be too.
