Top5 - My Favs For August 2008

If you remember all the way back to a couple of weeks ago, I attended a concert with Paramore and others.  While it was freaking awesome, I have not listened to much new music this month other than their CD Riot.  So this month is dedicated to Paramore and not much else.

Play All

  1. "Misery Business" by Paramore (>/+).  Since I downloaded the album from Amazon on August 10th, this song has of course had the most plays.  I love the guitar and the rocking sound.  16 plays since downloading, plus oh so many more before that.  Let's also note that I love the acoustic version (>/+) of the song too (10 plays since downloading).
  2. "CrushCrushCrush" by Paramore (>/+).  What's so funny about this song is that it was partially responsible for creating the Top 5 feature on the TVSM Blog.  Since I downloaded this song back in February, it has racked up an astounding 52 plays, and claim to the top song in my library.  The nearest 2nd is a three way tie for 23 plays.  So yes, this song is still one of my favs.
  3. "That's What You Get" by Paramore (>/+).  Another jamming song that's getting play on the radio recently.  9 plays so far.
  4. "For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic" by Paramore (>/+).  Once again, another rocking song that I love listening to.  8 plays now.
  5. "We Are Broken" by Paramore (>/+).  This song hasn't been played as much as the others, but I do love this song more than what that would indicate.  Besides the fact that Hayley's voice is so great in this studio version, it was also a great performance live.  4 plays.

By the way, if you haven't bought the CD yet, you should.  Next month I'll finally be back to some new songs, as I already have been listening to some great new stuff.  But you won't know what they are until next month.  I know, don't let the suspense kill you.

PS. Paramore will be playing live tonight at the MTV Video Music Awards too.
