Top5 - My Favs For July 2008
I found some really awesome tracks this month. I'm certainly on a pop kick right now and it shows. In other news, I'm going to see Paramore at Freedom Hill Amphitheater and I extremely pumped about it! They are definitely one of my favorite bands this year and they rock live. Anyway, check out the best of July:
- "Only Fooling Myself" by Kate Voegele (>/+). I am in love with this song! Everything about it makes it a great tune. The lyrics, Kate's voice and the driving beat are all awesome to me. I have two different versions of this on my computer and I love both. Combined, I've played the song 16 times since July 8th. That's quite a bit.
- "He Said, She Said (Time We Let Go)" by NLT (>/+). I heard this song, along with Kate Voegele's, on Rhapsody's MTV channel and I gotta say if you like some good pop, it's an awesome station to hear music from the genre that you won't always hear on the radio. I love harmonizing voices and that's all you need to know about this song. 10 plays since July 8th.
- "I Kissed A Girl" by Katy Perry (>/+). Yes, I admit it. I saw the video before work the other day and it got stuck in my head forever. I love the hook and the lyrics are pretty darn fun. Be careful if you haven't heard it yet, I'm not responsible for what get's stuck in your head. I have 3 versions of this song, including two remixes, and we're up to 6 plays since July 18th.
- "Calabria 2007" by Enur ft Natasja (>/+). This song should really be up higher in my list, but there was a lot of competition this month. I love this song so much. It's a perfect dance track. 4 plays since July 15th.
- "Let It Rock" by Kevin Rudolph. I'm surprised this one hasn't hit the radio yet. I like it. Does anyone else? 4 plays since July 18th.
I'll leave you with a cool Target commercial I saw the other day featuring "Calabria". I love the dancing in it and wish there was more of it. Check it out:
