Top5 - My Favs For June 2008
Loads of new music this month. I went download crazy! But I'm left to only mention the top 5 of them. Here are my favs for June:
- "Jump" by Madonna (>/+). If you didn't realize it yet, this song was used during the final minutes of the Ugly Betty finale. I loved the song use and it made me like this song even more than I already did. You can check out the scene that it was used in by looking at the TVSM Awards nominees. 10 plays on WMP since June 25th, plus many more before that.
- "Fast Car" by Wyclef Jean ft Paul Simon (>/+). I heard this one last month on All Access Music and fell in love with it. You might also want to check out the Lupe Fiasco remix version (>/+) of it too. 9 plays since June 1st.
- "Against All Odds" by The Postal Service. I watched part of Wicker Park a few weeks ago and while I gave up on the movie halfway through, I did realize how freakin' amazing the soundtrack was. And, in case you're wondering, the person that music supervised the movie was Liza Richardson, who also supervises Friday Night Lights and Life. Gotta love The Postal Service for completely redoing this classic. 8 plays since June 9th.
- "Lying From You" by Linkin Park (>/+). I rediscovered this song recently via the radio and remembered how much I love Linkin Park. This is definitely one of their best. 7 plays since June 21st.
- "In The Red" by Tina Dico (>/+). You know, I was re-watching some performances of Zero 7 on Jimmy Kimmel and saw the video of Tina Dico singing "Home" and fell in absolute love with her voice. Not that I didn't like her before, but her performance was perfect and she was very sexy as she sang it. Check out the video below and listen to her solo song, "In The Red" to discover how beautiful her voice is. 4 plays since June 11th.
