BotW - "U.R.A Fever" by The Kills
This week was pretty uneventful for music on TV unless you only watch Gossip Girl. Let's review the best of the best of other shows first.
Grey's Anatomy had a cool Four Tet Remix of "Carmella" (>/+) by Beth Orton as Bailey walks her son around the hospital and the closing song was "Good Arms vs. Bad Arms" (>/+) by Frightened Rabbit.
The Hills showcased "Little Miss Obsessive" (>/+) by Ashlee Simpson when Audrina comes home to find Lauren & Lo playing with a puppy. Kate Voegele, who's been getting all sorts of play on TV these days, had "It's Only Life" (>/+) heard as Stephanie kicks Spencer out of her apartment. The show also used "Just One Day" (>/+) by Jeremy Lister when Heidi leaves for Vegas in the SBE private jet and "Prodigal" (>/+) by OneRepublic as Spencer thinks about the future alone in his old apartment.
Over on One Tree Hill, Arden Kaywin had "When Will It Happen" (>/+) air as Peyton & Brooke chat during Angie's breakfast and Mouth is asked to fill in for a sick co-worker.
Reaper brought us the cool song, "Goodby Mr A" (>/+) by The Hoosiers when Sam & Andi tell Sock & Ben about the attack and over on Ugly Betty we heard "Didn't You Know (You'd Have To Cry Sometime)" (>/+) by Gladys Knight as The Suarez family watches Henry & Charlie with their son.
But the best song use goes to Gossip Girl which also featured "Say (All I Need)" (>/+) by OneRepublic as Georgina has dinner with Serena & her family and "Paralyzer" (>/+) by Finger Eleven, my second choice for best song use because it provided a great entrance to Asher's party as Blair crashes it. Now that we've covered all of that, did anyone not notice the music used at the end of the show and when Serena meets "Sarah"? "U.R.A Fever" (>/+) by The Kills made for a great song use and made me feel the weird and scary vibe that Serena felt about Georgina, not that I thought the fact that she killed someone wasn't weird enough. Talk about unexpected, I was thinking sex tape. I hope this story line pans out because it is either gonna make or break the show and it's been getting so good lately.
Next week I'm taking a short vacation so "Best of the Week" will probably be a few days late, but have no fear both of you readers as I will be making a post.
