BotW - "About Today" by The National
After a weekend of riding things like this, or this, and this, my head is finally returning to normal. While it was fun, three days in a row at amusement parks can have an adverse affect on your brain, and I don't advise it for the weak.
But now that I've returned, I'm back to couch potato mode and sitting here typing up a new "Best of the Week" post for the two of you lucky readers out there. Starting with Gossip Girl, we heard a few cool tracks like "Cities In Dust" (>/+) by Junkie XL ft Lauren Rocket as Georgina phone's Serena and "Pieces Of Me" by Song and Wager as Lincoln Hawk performs "Everytime" as the gang arrives at the concert.
"One More Time" (>/+) by AutoVaughn played on One Tree Hill as Nathan works out by pulling Jamie. "In My Arms" (>/+) by Plumb could be heard when Haley finds Jamie walking down the street alone and Lucas & Brooke chat while waiting for news about Angie's surgery. Finally, yet another cover of "Hallelujah" (>/+) this time by Kate Voegele as Mia sings in the studio, Mouth reviews & destroys his game footage and the ending montage.
Reaper brought us "Descend" (>/+) by New Young Pony Club as a drunk Ben meets the gang at the club and "Comfort Eagle" (>/+) by Cake when the gang ask Gladys about Mike.
Finally, Supernatural played "Wanted Dead Or Alive" (>/+) by Bon Jovi as Sam & Dean sing along to music as they drive to see Lilith, while Ugly Betty used "True" (>/+) by Spandau Ballet as Betty & Gio dance and "In Love With A Friend" (>/+) by Deep Dish when Gio tells Betty that he wants to be 'her guy'.
But the most important, and the moment I know you've been waiting for, was the use of "About Today" (>/+) by The National on Grey's Anatomy when Greta becomes convinced that Andre doesn't exist. Now, I'm not a big fan, more like a hater, of The National, but this was a nice use for the track and one of the best on Grey's Anatomy in awhile.
That's all I've got this week. Stay tuned for all the potentially great music during finale week!
