MLMM - "The Unwinding Cable Car" by Anberlin and "Three Wishes" by The Pierces

After the avalanche of work came to an end (59 hours in 7 days straight, YES!), Christmas was here and then gone.  On Christmas Eve, I happened to bump into the mother of a friend of mine, who I tend to see every once in awhile at my workplace.  She reminded me of that friend and got me to thinking of her again.  I even had a nice little romantic dream about her.  (And no, not that kind of dream...  Sheesh!).  Anyway, for that dream scene in my life, the best song fit would be The Pierces' "Three Wishes" (>/+).  Its hypnotic, hopeful lyrics fit perfectly in Gossip Girl a few weeks ago and also fit perfectly for that dream of mine.

The other song in my life then comes at the end of Christmas, after religion was put back in my life and I finally got to sleep again, the perfect episode ending track would be "The Unwinding Cable Car" by Anberlin (>/+).  The tone and lyrics of the song are the best for a release at the end of the day and getting back to what's really important in life.  Not to mention, I think of the song as being an alternative Christmas tune that stands out from the rest of the monotony of the music season.  I also think that if the writers strike ends soon, this song will eventually be played on a TV show.  I bet you 16 leftover candy canes on that.

What music is having an impact in your life?  Anything you'd pick for a TV show about your life?
