BotW - "Let Me Out" by Ben's Brother
As we head into the holidays the choices to pick the best music from dwindle and we must stop Best of the Week for a month or two to keep its incredible integrity at such an esteemed high.
Back on planet earth, there were some great songs used in Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, the two shows I cover that aired. Check out Roisin Murphy's "Movie Star," the song that started Grey's with Christina and Meredith dancing. Missy Higgins' "Where I Stood" (>/+) played during the scene where the Chief and Meredith talk about "the job." The Soulsavers' "Revival" (>/+) aired during the scene where Meredith tries to calm Ray and Bailey starts surgery on Shane. Over in California on Private Practice we heard Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings' "Tell Me" (>/+) as everyone arrives at work rather quietly. Also played was Ike and Tina Turner's "Crazy 'Bout You Baby" (>/+) when Cooper meets Charlotte in the bar.
The best music fit for a scene this week comes from Grey's Anatomy and "Let Me Out" (>/+) by Ben's Brother during the moment where Stan dies after saving Ray. Perfect use and great lyrics provided for a powerful moment.
Next week we'll bring you a new post, whether it's the "Best Of" or not. In the mean time check out Secrets In Stereo.
