BotW - "Like Spinning Plates" by Radiohead
Oh. My. Goodness. The OC rocked my socks this week! Not only was it a great episode, I was truely blown away by the music used throughout. Each and every song from the show could be the Best of the Week. And then there’s the great track from Veronica Mars, and quite likely the only time you’ll ever see Nick Lachey mentioned on here, “What’s Left Of Me.” What the heck do I pick?
Before I saw the OC, I was going all out for Nick (and yes, I have a soft spot for the song even when it came out many months ago). When I heard that song come on I nearly busted a gut. Perfect song for a teenager to choose to win back a girl. But now, Radiohead’s “Like Spinning Plates” is far too much like the perfect score for the post-earthquake atmosphere. Therefore, I give my pick of the week to Radiohead. Check it out in our player.
Another track worth mentioning this week is “Kreuzberg” by Bloc Party. It just fit nicely with the end of the episode and the reveal of the Cohen’s house. “A Bitter Song” by Butterfly Boucher was the best song Grey’s could offer this week. Both are very cool songs by themselves.
Speaking of cool songs, I highly recommend “Sewn” by The Feeling and ”Close Your Eyes” by Young Love from One Tree Hill this week. I am in love!
