BotW - "The Girl From Ipanema" by Astrud Gilberto
This week's top pick was a little more challenging. I loved the Jason Schwartzman track "The West Coast" at the end of the OC and how they used it to play with the viewers hopes. I also really thought that Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" was used quite well by Scrubs when Jordan enters the hospital. Seriously, what show uses music better for comedy other than Scrubs? That's right, none. I would also like to mention how much I loved the song (as a song) at the end of Grey's Anatomy this week, but the way it was edited Travis' "Love Will Come Through" seemed to be part of a music video and it went on way too long. I mean, how many times did we see everyone's face and their saddness and apprehention. Please Grey's stay away from this, you use music fine every other time. I also forgot that "Love Will Come Through" was used in the last episode of Wonderfalls. I thought the song sounded vagely familiar.
So, that said... the best memory I have this week comes from The Janitor and his dance to "The Girl From Ipanema" by Astrud Gilberto. Great moment, and once again proves how awesome Scrubs is at using a completely random song to make a scene funny. And, next week is the musical. Check out a preview on our site. What do you wanna bet that Scrubs is gonna sweep the "Best of the Week" award next week?
